COVID-19 Statement from Bridge Communities

March 18, 2020

COVID 19 StatementIn these difficult times, Bridge Communities wishes to thank our outstanding donors, volunteers, friends and community partners for their incredible support of Bridge families. While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon us times of great uncertainty, we are committed to continue providing safe homes and wraparound services to every homeless family in our program. Because of you and your compassion:

  • All Bridge families are, and will continue to be, housed in safe apartments
  • Our children’s staff is providing up-to-date information regarding schools, education opportunities and meal distribution
  • Our mentors are remotely working with families and still providing advice and emotional support
  • Our case managers are working individually with families to provide guidance and support
  • Our employment staff is counseling our families on next steps and how to handle this difficult time
  • Our nutrition staff is coordinating with food pantries to ensure our families maintain access to food
  • Our intake staff is continuing to work with prospective clients—because more and more families may become homeless and need Bridge Communities in the coming weeks and months
  • And our administrative and development staff is working diligently to keep Bridge Communities operational and ensure all our families’ needs are met.

Many people have approached us in recent days, asking how they can best help Bridge families during this time. We are grateful for your kindness, and we thank you for supporting us in the following ways:

Again, we thank you for your continued support. More than ever, you are a lifesaver for homeless families in our community.

Sincerely,

John R. Hayner
CEO
