The 10th Joy of Giving

December 22, 2012

gift givingOh, the tenth joy of giving
to Bridge Communities
is feeling good ’bout
doing a good deed!

Giving makes us feel happy.  In fact, a 2008 study by Harvard Business School professor Michael Norton and colleagues found that giving money to someone else lifted participants’ happiness more that spending it on themselves, despite participants’ prediction that spending on themselves would make them happier!

What makes you happy?  If you’re looking to boost your happiness quotient this holiday season, please consider giving a gift of hope to a homeless family in Bridge Communities’ Transitional Housing Program.

You can feel good about knowing your donation to Bridge Communities is helping a homeless family improve employment opportunities, get proper education, reduce their debt, heal from one-on-one counseling, and cross the bridge to self-sufficiency.  You can also feel good knowing that Bridge communities is an excellent steward of your donation, respecting it and handling it wisely.

Your donation – no matter what size – will bring joy to a homeless family…and probably to you, too!

Please give to Bridge Communities. It’ll make you feel good!

Thank you.
