Garden Party Welcomes Summer in Style

June 4, 2012

Huppertz porchWhat better way to spend a beautiful June evening than in a beautifully crafted garden?  If this is even slightly reminiscent of your idea of the perfect evening, please join us on Friday, June 15th at 6:30 p.m. for the annual Garden Party, our kick-off to the Glen Ellyn Garden Walk

Graciously hosted this year by Roanne Maisel and Jeff Huppertz , the Garden Party is an intimate affair, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment.  Admission to the Garden Party also includes a ticket to the next day’s Garden Walk.

Huppertz fountainThe Maisel/Huppertz family home and garden features a Georgian style conservatory that graces a thoughtfully renovated 1920’s house.  A brick patio with fireplace anchors the back garden; a stunning pergola houses a hot tub shaded by hundred year old oak trees.  Surrounded by shade-loving perennials is a waterfall splashing into a stream that feeds into a Koi pond.  All these elements come together charmingly to make this garden a restful and comfortable outdoor living space.

This garden is only open for the Glen Ellyn Garden Party and will not be featured as part of the Glen Ellyn Garden Walk.

Huppertz entranceTickets to the Garden Party are available for $100 per person online or by calling Jennie Gates at (630) 545-0610 ext. 19; $55 of each ticket is tax-deductible, and each Garden Party ticket also includes entry to the next day’s Glen Ellyn Garden Walk.  All Glen Ellyn Garden Party reservations will be held at the door.  The Garden Walk ticket will be mailed to the address provided.  Please reserve your ticket by June 8th.
